iPad May Become Important Nursing Tool

Tablet PC as the new IPAD Apple could soon keep replacing the traditional paper and pencil to the cards with the hospital bed and other medical documents. Thus, the Sacramento Bee reported in the recent history of a pilot program at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Sacramento, California, an experiment with national impact.

In Sacramento, Kaiser is implementing a pilot program called “Operation Night,” which a number of tablets to replace the traditional handwritten IPAD-tables and data sets tested.

Not only the tablets ends the perennial problem of illegible handwriting (which can lead to a number of medical errors), but also allows doctors and nurses to store, share and duplicate patient records, literally at the touch of a button. The tablets have the advantage of greater computing power and a much larger screen.
Although not part of the ongoing pilot project of the Emperor, is the recently launched Apple IPAD a serious contender for any national launch of this concept-compressed.
The Obama Administration is much emphasis on the need for conversion from paper to electronic as part of its global initiative on health care reform. Kaiser-compressed program fits well into this scenario and will probably be studied by many hospitals and other health professionals as a way to improve patient care, increase overall efficiency.
The new devices are constantly being improved health and nursing schools. Thanks to technological advances in the tools of care, doctors and nurses, better help their patients.
